On behalf of the directors, staff and boosters of the STMA Marching Knights, we would like to welcome you and thank you for your interest in joining the STMA Marching Knights.

ROLL KNIGHTS!
Joshua VanVooren Ethan Brummer Andy Abel Danielle Soldow
We are the STMA Marching Knights! We are a competitive parade marching band, which means that we march our “show” in parades around Minnesota and compete against other marching bands. We are the STMA activity with the most visibility in the community and through out the state as we take part in multiple parades during the season.
By joining the Marching Knights, you to become part of a community that is truly inclusive. Even if you are not a musician, and even if you have no experience there is a place for you in the Marching Knights. Every student performs every minute of every show. Students learns valuable, lifelong skills that include leadership, responsibility, and punctuality. You will get fresh air, exercise, and most importantly, you will have FUN! You will meet friends and have experiences that you will never forget. We have alumni that enjoyed being a part of the Marching Knights so much that they have chosen to continue their story by joining some of the most competitive college marching bands in the country, including colleges like: Univ. of MN, Iowa State, North Dakota State, Syracuse, Mankato, Univ. of North Dakota to name a few.
Also, if you are an incoming freshman, there is no better way to ease the transition of middle school to high school than joining the marching band. Before the first day of school you will already have a group of friends & other people that you know, helping you feel much more comfortable transitioning into the High School building.
Every other year the band enjoys a trip to another part of the country to participate in a 4th of July parade. In previous years, the band has traveled to Philadelphia, Walt Disney World, New York City, Boston, Washington DC, Colorado, the Black Hills, St. Louis, and Chicago.
