We are a student collective, celebrating and exploring the values of what it means to be a ‘World Class’ school. We are committed to representing this responsibility, elevating the voices of students through multiple creative outlets, including written and spoken word.
Often the definitions of ‘world class’ exclusively talk about becoming ‘one of the best’ . Our aim is to recontextualise and expand the meaning of what it is to be 'world class'. We understand that becoming ‘world class’ students, teachers and citizens requires many skills and here we can demonstrate where this is prevalent in everyday life, and the values it requires to conduct oneself in a 'world class' way.
Here you will find students’ exploration of topical issues and debates, opinion pieces on the aspects that make a high quality education, and personal experiences of student life, each with a focus of what it means to be ‘World Class’. Stay to learn how you can unlock your full 'world class' potential as a member of the Sandringham School community!
Finally, self-reflection and action is what we are here to inspire. What can you do to be more 'world class'? What does 'world class' mean to you? What can you contribute to our 'world class' community?
OUR VISION
We are aiming to unlock a fuller understanding of what it means to be 'World Class' at Sandringham School.
We are embarking on a mission to re-evaluate our understanding of our experience, how this may be different to others; we will also be action planning to consider our personal agency, the impact of this on our community, and what we can do as a community to impact wider humanity.
Over the next term, we will be discussing several areas of school life or school priorities which make us proud to be part of the Sandringham community. We will be evaluating where we are and what super-strengths we have, what we want to ambitiously achieve and what we need to develop, and whose super-strengths we need to draw on in order to actuate our vision.
We are only as strong as our actions; we wish to draw your attention to this reinvigorated mission, and to ask for your support in considering what being ‘world class’ means to you. This movement will be student lead as they are the voice of tomorrow; if you feel that you have contributions to make, or if you have some interesting views, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us, and we will be able to direct you to one of our talented team. We can build our vision together.
