Trouble Connecting to Hotel Guest Wi-Fi on your Chromebook

SVUSD does not control or maintain Guest Wi-Fi settings at the Hotel locations.

Step 1.

Try Rebooting and Power Cycle

1. Power off your Chromebook.

2. Press together and hold the Power and Refresh buttons simultaneously.

3. Hold the Refresh button until the Chromebook boots up.

Step 2.

Choose Another Available Network (Within the U.S. Only)


1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

2. Network name list is in the pop-up menu.

3. When the Network menu opens, you should click on the Wi-Fi slider to turn the Wi-Fi off.

4. Repeat steps 1 and 2 if necessary.

5. Wait a few seconds and try to connect to the hotel Guest Wi-Fi.

Step 3.

Clear/Remove Preferred Networks

Your next step should be to clear all preferred networks from your Chromebook’s settings.

1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

2. Click on the Network Name for the Wi-Fi.

3. Click on the Network Settings icon (a small cog top right corner).

4. You will see the connected networks. Choose forget to remove that network.

5. Go back to the Settings and click on the Wi-Fi network.

6. Select the hotel network from the drop-down menu.

7. Click on the Connect button, and try again.
