Learn a new trick or skills and share them with someone in your life. Here are some ideas:
MAKE/DO ARTS AND CRAFTS
Making art and doing crafts is always a good idea! It allows you to use your imagination, have fun, and use your fine motor skills. Share your arts and craft with the Google Form below.
Take family field trips and go on adventures together to learn, expand your minds, and create memories as a family. Have open dialogue as a family as you travel, ask questions, and learn together.
GROW PLANTS/VEGETABLES
You can learn so much about food from gardening, and it is a fun (and educational). It is also a way to get excited about the food that you eat since you will know where it is coming from. With an adult, grow a vegetable garden so you can tend to the produce or plant flowers together and be involved in caring for the garden. You can learn responsibility, such as a certain plant or garden box and they can get excited about watching all the progress!
COOKING/BAKING
With an adults help, get interested in cooking and baking. You will learn about food and nutrition as well as to grow up having a healthy relationship with food. Go grocery shopping with an adult or to the farmers’ market to pick out ingredients together. Check out some recipe options ahead of time! This could even lead to a fun new family tradition.
