Develop weekly lesson plans that consist of the indicated structure and focus on lifetime physical activities that support student growth towards their transition program. Lesson plans will be developed using Google Doc. Materials should be made available to the instructor and teachers at Santa Clara Unified School District. This can be by developing and sharing a google site, google slides, or google doc.
Greet the students Share a quick overview for what the students will be doing during the session You may review what they had done the session prior You may have a short discussion about the session's activity, surveying student experience and interest
Activator - 5 Minutes
Prepare the students for the learning. Some examples: watch a short video, engage in a discussion, engage in a physical activity, or a think-pair-share.

Engage in a whole group discussion
Engage in a physical activity
Engage in a think (about a topic), pair (talk about the topic with one or two other people), share (share the information with the whole group)
Look over the materials they will use during the session
Warm-Up - 5 Minutes
The students will be led through stretching, body weight exercises, and/or cardiorespiratory exercises that loosens the muscles and prepares the body for more intense activity.
As the sessions progress, postsecondary students should be given leadership roles to lead one or more exercises (with adult verbal prompting and modeling as needed).
Students should be encouraged to help their peers, advocate for themselves, and feel empowered.
Activities - 25 Minutes
The students will engage in the lesson's activities whether it is physical activity or completing a cognitive assignment such as a worksheet. It is best to over plan.

Personal fitness exercises
Working on the personal plans
Group fitness exercises
Problem-solving activities
Recreational games
Closure - 7 Minutes
Review the lesson, point out successes, and allow students to reflect upon their own performance. Share an overview for the following week's plan.
Students should have some active engagement in the closure.
