On this day I talked about addition of mixed numbers. I gave them examples, and the students worked on questions on pages 16-17 textbook.
Friday, Sept.5In this class we worked on Multiplication and division of mixed numbers. Examples were given and students worked on questions on pages 28-29 textbook.

In this class students will learn the relationships between the exponents of powers and the operations with powers, Examples will be given and related problems will be analyzed and solved. students will work with questions 1, 2 and 6 on pages 62-63 textbook.
 Friday, Sept. 11In this class students will be lectured on geometric representations of powers and square roots.Also, multiplication and division of powers will be discussed in this class. Related problems will be analyzed and solved.  Class work practice questions page 80-81 Textbook.Homework pages 89-90 textbook.
Monday Sept. 14In this class students will continue working with scientific notation. Also, students will be lectured on power on power.  Related problems will be analyzed and solved. Class work page 96 textbook. 
Wednesday sept. 15Review of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of mixed numbers. Students will work in groups to work on questions on page 66 and 67 textbook in preparation for a test on Thursday.
Thursday Sept. 16Students will write a mid-unit test on rational and irrational number operations.
Friday Sept.17In this class students will be lectured on ratios, rates, proportion and percent. Those concepts will be clearly explained in this class, real life examples will be analyzed and solved. students will solve problems in the class.
