Tuesday, Sept.9Lecture on how to determine displacement from a velocity-time graph, also Instantaneous and average velocity will be discussed. Examples will be given and related problems will be analyzed and solved.Home work page 30 text-book
Wednesday Sept.10In this class Students will learn about key equations for motion with uniform acceleration. These equations involve the variables for displacement, initial velocity, final velocity, acceleration and the time interval. Students are allowed formula sheet in order to choose which equations to use based on the given and required variables on the problem. Examples will be analyzed and solved.Home work Practice page 39
Thursday Sept. 11Continuation of the previous class to solve more problems related to the five key equations for motion with uniform acceleration. Class work/home work page 43
Week 3Monday Sept. 15Review of motion in one dimension chapter 1 textbook. In groups students will work on chapter review questions on pages 51-53 textbook.Tuesday Sept. 16In this class I will lecture on motion in two dimensions. Using scale diagram, we can add displacement vectors. Also using Pythagorean method and component method vectors can be added. Examples related will be thoroughly analyzed and solved. Class work questions 1 and 2 page 64 ,Home work 1-9 page 65 .Wednesday Sept. 17More review on motion in two dimensions in preparation for a test on Thursday.Thursday Sept. 18Students will write a test on motion in one dimension.
