At Woods Learning Center, the art program is meticulously designed to adhere to the Wyoming State Standards, fostering creativity and critical thinking among K-8 students. These standards emphasize the importance of visual art education in developing students' observational skills, artistic techniques, and cultural awareness. At Woods Learning Center, students engage in a variety of art projects that integrate these standards, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. Music
Music
At Woods Learning Center, music education plays a vital role in the overall development of students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Embracing the Wyoming State Standards for music education, the school ensures that each child receives a comprehensive and well-rounded musical education. These standards focus on fostering musical skills, understanding musical concepts, and encouraging creative expression. Students at Woods Learning Center engage in a variety of activities, including singing, playing instruments, reading musical notation, and exploring different genres and cultural music traditions. To showcase their learning and growth, the school proudly hosts yearly concerts that bring the community together. These concerts provide students with the invaluable experience of performing in front of an audience, building their confidence and celebrating their hard work and achievements in music throughout the year. Woods Learning Center’s commitment to high-quality music education not only aligns with state standards but also enriches the students' educational journey, nurturing their love for music and the arts.
PE
PE
All students will have an opportunity to participate in Physical Education twice a week. We will focus on portions of our 3 state standards: Fitness, Movement and Personal/Social Responsibility. We will be exploring a variety of ways to build teamwork, to problem-solve and to participate in many different types of fitness and movement activities in the form of games/practice. Fitness focus will be placed on self-improvement so students can see the benefit of setting goals and watching/experiencing their own personal health and fitness getting better!

We offer band courses to our students from grades 5th - 8th. At all levels, the courses are offered as electives. Our students are pushed fundamental within their 5th and 6th grade years to create a concrete foundation for their individual musical expression. In 7th and 8th grade, we cover music content that often times reaches the high school level and our students perform this difficult material with poise and control. We also offer a before school jazz program that focuses our attention towards musical improvisation and composition. All courses are performing classes that perform at least twice a year, with included public events to show off these student's talents. We also include field trips to live professional events to inspire these students and help push them to their highest potential.

This class is designed to help students learn in a collaborative, low-pressure environment where they can be successful. Because this class is not graded, students may participate without fear of failing. The requirements for this class include effort and a positive mental attitude.

You can log into the Library Catalog by using your student's last 5 digits of their 2700 number. You will use those 5 digits for both the username and password. This Catalog lets you look at what your student has checked out and his/her previous check-out history and put books on hold.
