The Planetarium offers 4+ programs per grade level. Please see the Planetarium Programs Guide for details. Each program lasts about an hour and typically includes a fulldome show, standards-based lesson and list of classroom resources.
The planetarium can seat up to 58 students and staff. Live lessons are designed to accommodate groups of any size. Some programs also have a "small group" (single class) option.
Each show and lesson listed on our Programs page is designed to meet Wyoming State Standards and/or NCSD Standards, although you can choose any show from our Available Shows list.
Teacher guides are available for some of our shows. Look for the TEACHERLINK and click on it.
Planetarium visits are NOT considered field trips and do not use bus credits.
Please see the Revised Planetarium General Information Page for 2026-2027 to book your planetarium visit.
NCSD Transportation requires a 30 day advance notice to book a bus. When you book your show time, the planetarium will schedule your bus.
