Newton County Ambulance District was started in 1975 after voters passed an initiative to form the district to provide ambulance services to the citizens of Newton County MO.
Our county seat is Neosho; known as Missouri's "Flower Box City".
Today we provide modern EMS service to all of Newton County's nearly 60,000 citizens (630 sq miles) with 6 ambulances staffed 24/7 with 1 ALS supervisor operating from a chase car.
We provide coverage from 5 stations located in: Neosho, Joplin, Seneca, and East Newton. We currently have 40 full time and 30 plus PRN field medical staff, a main office in Neosho, our own maintenance facility with full time mechanics (so our vehicles are always a priority). We offer a wide range of in house training programs from AHA and NAEMT.
First quarter of 2024 we are proud to announce that we have a added X-Series Advanced monitor/defibrillators, ZOLL Z-Vent for BiLevel and CPAP to offer better treatment options and save on medical oxygen waste, we upgraded our mechanical CPR devices to AutoPulse NXT and we can boast the youngest fleet of ambulances in our area.
