April and May
During trimester 3, students in the Monday and Thursday cohorts are using the song "Pan" by Sr. Wooly as an anchor text to learn basic restaurant vocabulary. The song was created by a world-famous Spanish teacher and is used nation-wide to help students from all walks of life to learn Spanish in an immersive, comprehensible manner. Check out these files to see what your student is learning! Click on the file to the left!
By accessing the www.senorwooly.com website, students can practice with real-time "nuggets" that help them reinforce, recycle, and recall the vocabulary from the song. I highly encourage students to complete one nugget per day during their own time in order to stay up to date with the vocabulary.
During trimester 3, students in the Tuesday and Friday cohorts are focusing on the use of -AR verbs in the present tense as well as the learning of common -AR Verbs. Feel free to check out the video to the left and the example worksheet to see what your student is learning!
Although the focus of this trimester is no longer on Sr. Wooly anchor songs to learn vocabulary, students still have access to the platform and are encouraged to complete one nugget every other day in order to recycle, recall, and review the previously learned vocabulary.
