In MLA format, submit the required Service Learning form to the Service Learning Coordinator, demonstrate evidence of completion, and receive final approval. You must also include a description and reflection of your Service Learning Project on your Senior Portfolio website.
Core Academic Learning- How did the service enhance the knowledge, value, or skill goals of the class or school? How did the service learning help you meet the state common core content standards.
Meaningful Service – How did the Service-learning experience help to increase your own sense of civic responsibility to meet a real need in the community( as defined by the community). How the service learning organized and what was the outcome of value to the community?
Student Voice – Describe how you the students helped to plan, implement, and evaluate the service learning project. This helps to ensure student by-in, ownership, and empowerment.
Collaboration – Describe the relationship between the school and the community and the value of school-community partnerships. All stakeholders (including administrators, social service agencies, business, community members, parents, students, and teachers) were involved in planning implementing and evaluating the service-learning project.
Continuing the Process - Describe how the service learning project can be continued or built on by the same group or by another class. What are the next steps that should be taken?
