Use this to integrate MyAnimeList/AniList/Kitsu/Simkl/Shikimori into various sites, with auto episode tracking for services such as Crunchyroll, Hidive, or Netflix. High recommended and is open source.
This is our recommend online tracker for what you have watched. It is a comprehensive database of nearly all manga and anime. In combination with MAL-Sync it is very useful in figuring out what you do and don't like. You can also check to see what your friends are watching and even share your thoughts on various different series, voice-actors, or forums.
Directly managed by SHUEISHA, a Japanese publisher that has been creating manga directly with the artists. Reading manga through this official service - “MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA”. It is a comprehensive site of manga published by SHUEISHA, it has a lot of things but not everything is present.
Kondansha is another major Japanese publisher that focuses mostly on manga, but has some books as well. They are known for such titles as Sailor Moon, Akira, and Attack on Titan. While Kodansha does have some free content, however, it is not as comprehensive as SHUEISHA's free content.
Managed by NTT DOCOMO, INC. (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone) is a another source of manga and light novels from a variety of publishers, however, the number of titles available as free content is limited.
Crunchyroll, managed by Sony, is perhaps the most comprehensive anime streaming service in the United States. They license media from a variety of distributors. It is highly recommended to have an account as the latest hits as well as old classics are found here such as One Piece and Sailor Moon.
Hidive, managed by AMC Networks subsidiary Sentai Filmworks, is another US-based streaming service that has more niche anime as well as some popular hits. If you are really into anime than a Hidive account is recommended, But the library is very limited compared to Crunchyroll and Netflix.
Netflix is one of the most well-known streaming services on the internet. Netflix has the largest library of media available to stream, however, since Netflix is not solely focused on anime content and caters to a more general audience, Netflix is recommended if you are just starting out, or already have an account. The fees for Netflix can be quite high.
