Mobilizing Global Citizens: Political Consumption in Comparative Perspective
In 2019, we collected survey data with large, cross-national samples in Canada, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This survey focused on political consumerism.
In 2020-2022, we collected and coded digital trace data related to #boycott.
In 2021, we repeated included survey questions about political consumerism as part of a four-country survey on misinformation.
In 2023, we will repeat survey questions about political consumerism as part of a four-country survey on political expression on social media.
Our objectives are to advance understanding of political consumerism as a form of transnational participation and inform the practices of corporations, government, civil society groups, and social movement organizations.
