Registration is due Monday September 11th. For late registration, please email Mrs. McFarlane.
In the Grand Forks Public Schools, Orchestra is offered starting in the fall of 4th grade, and continues sequentially through 12th grade.
Discovery Orchestra meets during the school day in small-group lesson once a week, in addition to full-group rehearsals once a week in preparation for concerts.
Welcome Beginning Orchestra 2023-24Materials Needed
The "Beginning Orchestra Checklist" includes a supply list for beginners, as well as information about caring for your instrument & practice tips. The Supply List webpage also shows examples of the items needed.
Information about instrument rental policies at local music stores can be found at the bottom of the GFPS Orchestra homepage.
Please mark all materials with the student’s first and last name (except for the instrument itself). Many look the same, and it’s easy to get them mixed up.
Please have an instrument & lesson book prior to our first lesson the week of September 18!
