Elementary Battle of the Books

There are two choices for Elementary Battle of the Books participation for the 2025-26 school year. 

• Traditional Competition :

  • • Follows traditional rules for eligibility and student participation as outlined in the Battle of the Books manual.

    • Virtual preliminary competition with in-person final competition.

    • MyBOBTeam subscription provided to participating teams.

    • Teams are responsible for reading the entire book list.

• STEM Competition :

  • • Grade level (4th and 5th) eligibility requirements; eight (8) students will be able to attend the final competition.

    • Virtual challenge submissions with in-person final challenge for all teams.

    • STEM challenge materials provided to participating schools.

    • Teams are responsible for reading excerpts from 3 selected books and the entirety of the final challenge book.
