Art 2

Art 2 1 semester 7th and 8th grade combo

Prerequisites: “B” or better in Art 1 OR  Portfolio Review.

Art 2 is a course for serious art students. Emphasis is on the creative process, continued growth with materials and techniques, and “artistic behaviors”. Students will work on assigned projects, and self directed work. They will learn to explore themes in art, work in series. Students will continue to document their progress in their digital portfolio. Students will have opportunities to participate in group shows, contests, and exhibit work in the community. Guest speakers and a field trip opportunity when circumstances permit. The suggested donation for this course is $20. (This course is aligned with the California Visual Arts Standards, and the National Core Arts Standards.)
