What To Bring
Coming prepared to band camp is imperative for an efficient and successful rehearsal. Some of the items below are new so please carefully check to make sure you're prepared for August 10th! If you have questions about something, ask!
A $100 activity fee or the completed waiver form will be collected by Ms. Poznanski on TBD date before the start of rehearsal during band camp, week 2.
Activity fee letter & waiver linkInstrument/flag & any necessary accessories such as reeds, valve oil, etc.
FOR PEP MUSIC ONLY: Lyre & Flip-folder specific to your instrument (you can purchase these at any local music store or online)
Lyres are instrument specific!!! Check your instrument to make sure it has a lyre mount and thumb screw.
CAREFULLY cut your music to fit the window of the folio. If you need assistance, please ask one of the student guides/section leaders. Pro-Tip: Cut the paper to the size of the window. Smaller pieces of paper will easily fall out. Sad face!
Please LABEL your flip-folder with your NAME in the event that it goes MIA.
All show and parade music will go into your 3-ring binder with the drill FOR MEMORIZATION.
A labeled, Sturdy three-ring binder WITH clear page protectors (such as these) containing all drill, field show music, parade music, and warm-ups with extra pages for the band calendar and other papers I ask you to print or that will be handed out to you.
If you choose a binder with a clear window pocket, make up a unique cover page that makes your binder easily identifiable. If you have a solid cover without a window, dress it up with some stickers or a fancy doodle with Sharpies or perhaps a band haiku.
Pencil(s) & highlighter
Sun protection: sunblock, hat, sunglasses
Sneakers & socks
A labeled water jug (I recommend a 1 gallon jug such as this one) or reusable water bottle to bring to the field. Get a swag sticker and label for your water bottle - see Ms. Selke for the sticker and label maker.
A good attitude and work ethic. Smiling and having fun is highly recommended.
