Dear Discovery Falcon Families,
As we are awaiting the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, I extend to you a warm and heartfelt welcome and welcome back to Discovery Falcon. I hope each of you has enjoyed a refreshing and joy-filled summer break, filled with memory-making and moments of relaxation.
The staff and I are excited to embark on our 12th year together as a community. Throughout the summer, our wonderful Falcon staff has been preparing for you and your student's arrival, and our campus is ready for the exciting 2024-2025 Discovery Falcon learning journey.
At Discovery Falcon, we hold the value of belonging close to our hearts. We endeavor to foster an environment where every member—be it staff, students, or families—feels a sense of connection and purpose. Your active engagement at Discovery Falcon enriches the experience and I extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support.
The collaborative efforts of our teachers have resulted in thoughtfully crafted class lists, taking into account various factors to ensure each student's holistic development. Our meticulous attention to class placement ensures equitable environments conducive to learning and growth. Details regarding your student's class and teacher assignment can be accessed here. To ensure balanced classrooms and optimal learning environments for all students, adjustments to the class lists may occur in the first seven weeks of school. Observations and assessments during this initial period will guide our decisions to optimize the composition of each class. Thank you for your understanding.
A gentle reminder regarding parking arrangements: the Falcon’s parking lot will be designated for staff use only, while parking for families can be found on the school side of the street. Additionally, we will continue to facilitate Morning drop-off on Chesbro, as well as Middle School Drop-off on Glenside Drive, ensuring a smooth start to your day. Let us approach the new school year with mindfulness, remembering to please prioritize safety and consideration for our neighbors.
As we navigate the transition into this new academic year, I am deeply grateful for your patience, understanding, and dedication. Your positive energy and commitment serve as the foundation of our community, and I look forward to collaborating with you and celebrating our community together.
