A DAY WITH KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS
A DAY WITH KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS
Teaching kindergarten for a day was fun. They were so excited to learn and explore, which made the day full of adventures. It was heartwarming to see how quickly they picked up new things. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as their guest teacher.
Title of the Story:
"Go Away Big Green Monster"
I shared a story because stories promote children's vocabulary, language, and comprehension. Listening to and participating in storytelling enhances a child's memory and cognitive skills.
BILINGUAL GUIDE TRAINING PROGRAM (VOLUNTEER WORK)
MOFIA is the first museum dedicated to green dyeing technology and the art of parenting. Their unique approach combines aesthetic education with hands-on activities for all ages. The museum showcases ancient crafts of green dyeing and learns how it can benefit people and the environment. The museum held a two-day Bilingual Guide Training program to equip individuals with the necessary skills to lead visitors, provide information about exhibits, artwork, or artifacts on display, and answer questions.
A Taiwanese English Teacher named Vic invited us to help museum guides improve their basic English conversation skills to provide information about the museum. Our role was to pretend as tourists and ask for directions or inquire about the main theme of the exhibition. It was an amazing experience to witness these guides enhance their language proficiency and grow more self-assured in interacting with visitors from all over the world.

120-HOUR ADVANCED TESOL COURSE
TESOL TAIWAN
As a Foreign English Teaching Assistant, I have the privilege to enroll in the 120-hour Advanced TESOL course. Our 5-day on-site class was held at Kaohsiung Municipal Chung Shan Senior High School Library with our trainer, Jenna. Since then, we have continued to learn through online classes and trainer homework. Participating in this TESOL course has been a rewarding experience that has enriched my teaching skills and techniques, and has also expanded my cultural awareness and understanding. This experience has deepened my appreciation for language education and has opened a world of opportunities for me both personally and professionally.
CULTIVATING RELATIONSHIPS
Going on a field trip to explore the historical places in Tainan was a cool experience for us teachers and students. We visited old streets and historic sites, and it made history come alive. Hanging out with other teachers helped us share ideas and learn new ways to teach. For students, seeing the historical places in person made the lessons more interesting and easy to remember. This field trip was way more than just a school outing—it was like creating memories that will stick with us for a long time.
We enjoyed a delightful half-day tour exploring the vibrant wine industry in Changhua's Erlin Township. We visited farms and learned about how they make wine, which was super interesting. The best part was getting to taste different wines. After that, we checked out a cool dragon fruit orchard, enjoyed the colorful surroundings, and tried some yummy dragon fruit. To wrap up the day, all the teachers had dinner together, making it a great time to relax and have fun. It was a simple yet awesome day filled with good company and delicious experiences.
INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS
As part of the Teaching Foreign English Teachers Program in Changhua County, we actively participate in monthly workshops at the English Center. These workshops provide valuable training on the latest ESL teaching techniques, professional development, and collaboration among educators, helping us enhance the quality of English instruction within our program.
