Hello, my name is Anne Faith M. Abarquez, and I am a certified teacher from the Philippines. I hold certifications in TESOL and TEYL. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, majoring in Social Studies, and have completed a Master’s degree in Arts in Education, also majoring in Social Studies.I started my teaching career in the Philippines, where I spent five fulfilling years teaching both online and offline. Those early years were filled with challenges, discoveries, and countless small victories that taught me the value of patience, creativity, and resilience. Teaching back home gave me a strong foundation, not only in lesson planning and classroom management but also in building authentic connections with students from different walks of life.

Now I have been teaching for over six years, both online and offline, working with students from Grade 5 to Grade 10, as well as adults. My classes incorporate various methods to support English language learning and build student confidence, including the use of props, flashcards, and role-playing.When I first arrived, I worked as a teaching assistant—a role that allowed me to observe, adapt, and immerse myself in a new educational culture. It was a humbling and eye-opening experience. Today, I’m honored to serve as a foreign English teacher, and I carry that title with both pride and responsibility.

Previously, I worked as a college instructor, teaching English and Social Studies to architecture students. Currently, I am a Foreign English Teacher in Taiwan. I have been teaching here for two years—one year as an assistant teacher and one year as a full-time English teacher. These experiences have enhanced my teaching skills and deepened my ability to connect with students in a multicultural classroom environment.

Living and working in Taiwan has been a deeply enriching experience. From the warm hospitality of the people to the beauty of the culture and the dedication of the students, I’ve felt both welcomed and inspired. I’ve learned so much—not just professionally, but personally. I’ve grown in confidence, adaptability, and appreciation for the small, everyday moments that make this journey so special.

Thank you, and God bless.
