This class consists of multimedia graphics and animation that is a component of our visual and performing arts academy at Southwest High School in El Centro, Calif., known as SAVAPA, and is also a Career Technical Education class that provides students with hands-on content using the professional programs and equipment. Ms. DuBose has been the instructor since August 2015. She was born and raised in Brawley, Calif., and graduated from Brawley Union High School. She attended the Art and Design program at Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in photography. Prior to teaching, Ms. DuBose has worked several years in the marketing, photography and design industry. She now enjoys sharing her passion with students and exposing them to skills that they can use for a future career. The main focus of the program is to strive for the students to be college and career ready and this class exposes them to an industry pathway, teaches them skills, and sets a solid foundation for them to continue on after high school.
