Constellation Learning

Designed for expert professionals, rather than a prescribed pathway, a learning constellation consists of a cluster of stars (e.g. content and options for interaction and discourse with other experts), but the expert-learner decides how these stars should connect to create their own unique learning constellation.

Think about it

When you learn something deeply, how do you go about it? Or better yet, why do you undergo the hard work of learning it? Do you ever really stop learning about it? When adults are truly a novice at “something” there is a place and time that a linear approach to learning has a purpose. However, with adult professionals, especially professionals in Higher Education, while individuals may be “beginners” when it comes to a certain skill, they are expert learners. As experts, deep and satisfying learning is often the result of self-directed, non-linear, and reflective processes.
