The purpose of the Relationships Task Force is to support the ongoing data collection, analysis, and adjustments to practice to improve outcomes for students. Improving relationships at BIS is one of three main redesign goals.
We will forge student-centered relationships with all of our school community stakeholders to create a greater sense of responsibility, belonging, and impact for equitable outcomes for all BIS students.

Neighborhoods/Advisory:
By June 15, 2021, the percentage of students who report feeling connected (extremely or quite connected) to faculty will increase from 30% to 75%
By June 15, 2021, the percentage of students who report feeling they belong at BIS will increase from 53% to 75% [feeling completely or quite a bit of belonging to BIS community
By June 15, 2021, 75% of parents who respond to a survey indicate that their child feels like they belong at BIS.
By June 15, 2021, the percentage of teachers who report feeling confident/ comfortable with facilitating advisory will increase by 50% from their reports in October 2020
Neighborhood Collaboration Time:
By December 15, 2021 75% of faculty will report understanding the MyWays framework
By June 15, 2021, 75% of faculty will demonstrate evidence of common instructional practices in observation OR 75% of faculty will report using common instructional practices
By June 15, 2021, 90% of faculty will report that the weekly neighborhood collaboration time supports their teaching practices, including interdisciplinary lesson planning, to teach a wide variety of students
By June 15, 2021, 75% of faculty will report that the neighborhood collaboration time supports a reflective practice on data and data-informed decision making
By June 15, 2021, there will be a 100% increase in teachers implementing interdisciplinary lesson plans using the MyWays framework
Family & Community Partnerships:
By June 15, 2021, 75% of families that respond to a survey during community/family events will report that BIS is a partnership school based on the continuum of fortress to partnership schools
By June 15, 2021, 75% of families that respond to a survey indicate they are regularly able to access up-to-date information about BIS
By June 15, 2021, there will be a 100% increase in use of the community database to link BIS students to community and family partners
By June 15, 2021, the number families & community members attending student showcases of learning will increase by 100%
