What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a real job where you gain hands-on experience and earn a salary while working towards a recognised qualification. As an employee, you are entitled to a contract of employment, holiday leave, and protected time for your studies.
Key benefits include:
No tuition fees or student loans: Your training is funded by your employer and the government.
Career development: You gain the specific skills and knowledge needed for your chosen career path.
Earning while learning: You start receiving a wage immediately while you train.
To be eligible, you generally need to be 16 or over, live in England, and not be in full-time education.
Apprenticeships, like jobs need a good CV, preferablly some work experience in that sector and plenty of interview practice to help you get the job. Contact your Careers Advisor for more information or help.
