Field Study 1 is a course that immerses pre-service teachers in real-life learning environments where they will be observing not only the teaching process but also the learning process of the learners. Included also are the attitudes, behaviors, inspirations, motivations, dislikes, teaching strategies, styles, classroom management, how the learning was assessed, what they can advise the teacher, and many more are among things that will be observed.

The importance of the course is to provide opportunities for pre-service teachers to apply the concepts, theories, and other pedagogies that were learned from the first year up to the present. This course will also give guidance and will help pre-service teachers in realizing and reflecting on how ready they are in the teaching profession as they move forward and become interns in the next semester.
