Global Read Aloud

What is it?

The Global Read Aloud (GRA) project is a six-week event that is held annually to foster the love of reading along with making global connections with books. Teachers decide how much time will be dedicated to the project but also how their students will connect with students around the globe. The tools that students will use are vast but many choose Skype, Flipgrid, Twitter, or Padlet, but the choice is really up to the teacher. Teachers are a part of a community via Facebook to receive support during the project, as well as being able to make global connections to carry out the project.
