Welcome to my class!!
I am a firm believer that there is much more to gaining an education than just memorizing facts and performing well on exams. Classrooms provide an opportunity for students to develop social skills and problem-solving techniques that will help them their entire lives. It provides a safe place to discuss ideas, learn to engage in civil disagreement, and work together to make our community a better place for all. Students in my class will participate in frequent group work that will ensure everyone is included and appreciated, as well as help build team-working skills that will help them succeed in future endeavors.
My website was created to help all students feel prepared for my classes, help them catch up when they are absent, and to find all homework or other work I assign. I expect each student to be familiar with the information this website contains, and to take on the responsibility on seeking for answers to their questions here first before asking me. All extra credit opportunities will be included within each unit page, they will not be announced or discussed in class.
So, bookmark this page, and refer to it often as schedules and calendars will always be updated. I look forward to working with each of you and learning more about our shared human story together!
