Dr. Beeson is the Associate Chief Medical Officer for Global Medical Response, the largest medical transportation company in the United States. He is Vice President over Academic Partnerships and Initiatives for the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth and serves as the Medical Director for Tarrant County College District’s Health Services Centers and EMS Educational Programs. Jeff has 30 years of experience working in Public Safety and Population Health starting his career as an Emergency Medical Technician working in rural Texas and progressed to become a Paramedic and Registered Nurse working in Emergency Departments and with Air Medical Flight programs across Texas. He completed his medical training at TCOM and his Emergency Medicine Residency at Parkland in Dallas. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services through the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Lacy Hensley is the Director of Compliance & Special Projects at One Safe Place in Fort Worth. Lacy has worked in the field of domestic violence for over 20 years. She has served in various settings including shelter, law enforcement, schools, and currently in a Family Justice Center. Lacy is a UTA alum graduating with a Masters of Social Work and a Masters in Criminal Justice. She currently serves as an adjunct instructor with TCU in their Criminal Justice department.
Lacy is a wife and mom to two precious boys.
Kateeka J. Harris currently serves as the District Title IX Compliance Officer at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas. Her previous higher education professional experiences includes serving as: Director of Student Conduct, Director of Multicultural Programs, and Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions. Ms. Harris also serves as the current President of the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) and has the distinct pleasure of leading the most culturally diverse board of directors in the history of the association.
Before transitioning into higher education, Ms. Harris worked in the Juvenile Justice System at Mahoning County Juvenile Court in Youngstown, Ohio. She began her career in the Probation department then was promoted to County Intake Supervisor. It was during that time at the Juvenile Court that she implemented the county’s first Victim Offender, Truancy, and Family mediation programs.
Ms. Harris took her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio and her Master of Arts Degree in Student Personnel from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania (SRU). Ms. Harris is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at Texas Wesleyan University and anticipates graduation next year.
Ms. Harris has over 20 years of experience establishing conduct programs, revising policy, establishing fair and impartial procedures, resolving conflict, and successfully building coalition among students, staff, faculty, and communities.
Jeremy Ross, MD is one of Fort Worth’s native sons and graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in accounting and finance. He started a software company and obtained an internship in investments before a series of events led him to discover his true calling to the field of medicine. He attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University. From there he returned to Texas for internship and residency in internal medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He served as chief medical resident before beginning fellowship training at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, also in Houston. While at MD Anderson Dr. Ross received the Clifton D. Howe Award for Clinical Excellence as well as the Lyndon B. Johnson Fellow-of-the-Year Award. He was honored to serve as the chief fellow for education during his final year at MD Anderson. In 2020 Dr. Ross returned home to Fort Worth to join the physicians and staff at The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, the practice at which his father was a founding partner.
Dr. Ross considers his service in the fight against cancer as his mission in life. He is experienced in the use of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and clinical trials and develops an individual treatment plan for each patient. He has authored two book chapters and multiple other publications in both oncology and hematology, and he is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His interests outside of medicine include running, reading, and aviation. He and his wife Melissa have three children.
SATISH CHANDRAPRAKASAM, MD FACC FSCAI RPVI
Dr. Satish Chandraprakasam completed his undergrad medical training from the prestigious Stanley Medical College, which is among the top 25 premier medical institutions in India. After his medical school, he went on complete his post-grad residency training in Internal Medicine from Madurai Medical College, India.
Fascinated by the intricacies of cardiovascular medicine, he worked as a Cardiology Registrar at the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Madras Medical Mission. He then moved to the States to complete his internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital, St Louis where he also served as the chief resident. He did his cardiovascular medicine fellowship from Creighton University, Omaha where he served as the chief cardiovascular Fellow and then went on to complete his interventional cardiology fellowship where he received comprehensive training in coronary, peripheral/endovascular, and structural heart interventions. He had the distinction of being elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor medical society for his contributions to medicine. During his training, he published and presented several research papers in peer-reviewed journals and national meetings.
He chose cardiovascular medicine as he has the opportunity to save his patients from life-threatening conditions and see them get better right away
Dr. Farmer is the Executive Director of Interprofessional Practice and Behavioral Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Farmer is leading strategic initiatives to integrate Behavioral Health in UNTHSC Health Primary Care Clinics as a part of a Whole Health approach to patient care. Formerly the Founding Director of HSC’s Interprofessional Education Department, Dr. Farmer worked to create Interprofessional Education opportunities for students across health professions to learn about, from and with each other in order to develop competencies in teamwork and collaborative care. This work led to institutional partnerships between HSC and Texas Christian University, The University of Texas Arlington, Texas Woman’s University, Texas Wesleyan University, and Tarrant County College Trinity River Health Professions Campus to create Interprofessional Education opportunities for students and faculty. Dr. Farmer is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has helped lead HSC initiatives in understanding and development of Emotional Intelligence with health professions students, faculty and clinicians at HSC. Dr. Farmer came to HSC in 2009 with twenty-three years’ experience in the practice of counseling psychology in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Mathew Smith has worked for Tarrant County Public Health since 2020. His duties have included assisting with the Texas Vaccines for Children program, Covid 19 response, and prematurity prevention.
He is a member of the Health Equity Alliance of Tarrant county that helps to reduce the amount of prematurity pregnancies through advocacy.
Christy McDonald is the Veterans Counselor at Tarrant County College - Southeast and a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor. She has worked in the Advising & Counseling Department for 6 years and was a clinical therapist for 10 years prior to her appointment at TCC. She is passionate about serving protected populations, such as veterans and students with accessibility difficulties.
Latasha Jackson (Program Grant Coordinator) is located in the Houston office. Latasha has a background of over 14 years in the mental health field where she worked closely with individuals with Mental Health and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities. She coordinates the Community Health Worker Grant, focuses on education, and facilitates the parent support group.
Mr. Monson has taught Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (FPU) to adults at his Church for 12 years to help them become debt-free, save money, & invest. He also taught a Finance "Future Millionaires Club" two semesters at TCC, before Covid.
Mr. Monson has been married for 25 years and is a father of three children, one who went to TCC and another currently attending. He paid off all their debts including the house by Sept 2010. They are DEBT FREEEEE! 😀.
He currently works in IT at Sabre, as a computer nerd, not selling financial services or magic beans😀.
Andrew Hill has been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for nearly 9 years with 6 of those years serving at TCC. He has worked in private practice, community mental health, crisis, and the psychiatric emergency room. At TCC Andrew works with students to focus on their personal well-being and enhance their life to best reach their goals.
