Student Support: Important Information & Contacts

Welcome to the Student Support page for FdSc Professional Practice in Health & Social Care.  From here you should find all the help and support you need in completing your ePAD (electronic Practice Assessment Document) for your modules Work Based Learning One/Two: Practice

If you have a technical problem and can't find the solution within this page, you can contact Pebble Help via: PebbleHelp@shu.ac.uk

Our colleagues on the IT Service Desk have a 24-hour IT Helpline available all year on 0114 222 3333.

Frequently Asked Questions: Students

If your Supervisor has lost their link, pass them this: https://v3.pebblepad.co.uk/login/hallam.  They need to select the 'I have a guest account' option on that page.  They can also reset their password there any time they need to.

No, your College Tutor will automatically have access via the ATLAS link on your Blackboard module site.  (Work Based Supervisors do not have access to Blackboard).

When this happens, it's usually because a recovered version of your ePAD has been created recently, and you've accidentally carried on working on that version.

You just need to copy and paste your work across to your original version, then delete the recovery to avoid any further confusion.

You shouldn't share the recovered version with your supervisor because this version won't have active assessor fields.  Always stick to the original.

Make sure you (and your supervisors!) save and close the window when you finish working on your ePAD to avoid the chance of recovered copies springing up in your Assets.

Frequently Asked Questions: Work-Based Supervisors

Don't worry.  The initial email from PebblePad can often get caught in spam filters.  All it tells you is that your username is your email address, then directs you to the log-in page to set up your own password.  Rather than hunting for the email, you can just follow the steps below:

You can then return to the login screen and enter your credentials. Could you make sure you always choose the 'guest account' option (the 'IT account at this organisation' option will only recognise Hallam staff and student details)?

Remember, your username will always be your email address.
