Gaining Clinical Experience
Before starting the journey as a Diagnostic Radiography student, it is important to thoroughly understand what a Diagnostic Radiographer is. The best way to familiarise yourself with the role is to organise some experience in your local radiography department.
To organise your visit, ring your local department and ask to speak to a Superintendent or Senior Radiographer who should be able to assist in arranging a visit.
If you struggle to gain experience in a busy imaging department, have a look into clinical open days run by some of the larger teaching hospitals.
