Dodgeball Lunch Tournament - calling all dodgeball players. Ms. Christy is looking to get in one more dodgeball tournament before we get to winter break so get your teams together and submit them to Ms. Christy by Friday, December 1st. Get ready to DODGEBALL!

Winter Wonderland Dance - The Winter Wonderland Dance will be on Friday evening, December 8.  Tickets will be on sale for $3 on December 5, 6, and 7.  Join your friends as we dance and play holiday tunes in the MPR.

Spirit Week 12/11-15 - Holiday Spirit Week is December 11-15.  Prizes for the classrooms with the highest participation.  Watch for themes starting next week.

The Talent Show is Coming - Talent Show auditions will be held starting Thursday, January 25.  It's time to perfect your talent and show it off to your friends and classmates.  Talent Show is Thursday, February 29.  No, that is NOT a misprint.  Happy Leap Year!

Can We Talk? - If a student has concerns or is struggling, we have resources and people that they can speak to. They can reach out anonymously through WETIP, Confidential Boxes in their history classes, in person through our Can We Talk slips in the office, by email, or by speaking to any adult on campus. We are happy to help.

The Marina PTC is excited to offer another session of great after-school enrichment classes beginning Nov 30th!  Registration opens Monday, Nov 13th at 7am and closes Nov 29th. Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books sign up - Battle of the books is a literature club that competes with other middle schools in the spring each year. Our librarian, Kimberly Valdez is the coach. If you are interested in joining your grade's team use this link to sign up. We will have our first meeting during your lunch period on September 28th. If you signed up in the library verbally, still sign up here so we have a digital copy too.

Crossroads is a student-led club that will be meeting in the band room every other Friday from 2:15 to 3:15. The club provides a place for students to socialize through games and a shared belief in God. Please contact Carson Sodestrom for questions and all are welcome!

Garden Club is back this year and is running during lunches! Ms. Kathy (yard supervisor) is running it we are excited to continue having our students work on the beautification and functionality of our garden. Come and join us in creating this beautiful space!

Gaming (DnD) Club - "The dungeons and dragons club is starting this Friday afterschool in room 9 and runs until 3:45pm. If you are interested in either running or playing in a tabletop game based around swords and sorcery feel free to drop in."

Honor Society

Are you interested in becoming a member of the Honor Society? Marina Village Honor Society revolves around character, leadership, service, and scholarship. Members will meet at school 1-2 times a month during lunch to work on projects that benefit our community. There will also be opportunities for fun!

As a math club, we thrive to teach students the importance of math and the things it could help with in the future. In this math club, we will be learning and exploring much about the world of math. This club is not for the faintest of hearts, this is a very challenging club. That is not to discourage you to participate, but always to expect to work hard when you come to math club every week.

AMC8(American Mathematics Contest 8), is a national math competition where kids from all across the United States come together to compete against each other in a competition. This math club's main goal is to prepare our students for this competition.

Everyone is welcome to join us, just walk into room 23 right after school!

Speech and Debate

Speech and Debate - Speech and Back! Mr. Corkery at Oak Ridge High School has fielded middle school speech and debate teams with our students in the past and he is offering to do that again. The first middle school meeting will be Monday, November 13th, at Oak Ridge, in room D-4. Following the successful conclusion of the VEX Robotics 2022-2023 season, Falkon Robotics is preparing to launch this year's program.  This program will be offered at Marina Village Middle School.
