Cycling Safety - With the increase in concerns from the community and cycling accidents with injury, we want to share some information about helping students ride safely. Today, in our five-minute lunch chats, we talked about some bike safety basics. Below is a website from the CHP where you will find helmet and pedestrian safety videos. In addition, there is a link to a bicycle safety course that anyone can take. Below is a document from the El Dorado County Sheriff about electric bicycles, motorcycles, and motorized scooters. We hope this helps in preparing your students to be out on the their bikes.

Big changes are coming to the MVMS PTC—and we need YOU!
As many of our incredible board members and volunteer chairs head off to high school with their students this fall, we have several key leadership roles opening up, including President, Vice President, Secretary, and more.
This is your chance to step in, get involved, and help shape an amazing experience for our kids, teachers, and school community. The PTC is behind so much of what makes MVMS special—from funding teacher classes to creating fun, memorable student activities alongside administration and student leaders.
If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to make a real impact (and have some fun doing it!), now’s the time. Complete the interest survey below and throw your hat in the ring—elections are May 13, so don’t wait!
Seventh Grade Immunizations: TDAP immunization is needed before the first day of school. Many of you have turned in this documentation proof to the MV Health Office over the past year, but if this hasn't been done, schedule that appointment this summer and turn in the proof to the MV Health Office after July 29, when the office is open from the summer break.
