What is AGE and why am I an AGE major? I want to be a <insert desired health science program here> major not an AGE major:
Good question. AGE stands for Associate in General Education. AGE is a pre-health science major. Health Science programs at PCC are competitive programs that students must apply and be accepted into. You applied and were accepted to PCC. Congratulations on your acceptance! Now you must apply and be accepted to your desired health science program. In order to be eligible to apply to a PCC health science program you must meet certain minimum program application eligibility requirements. Each health science program has its own set of application requirements, which are listed on each program's curriculum sheet. I, as your AGE advisor, am here to assist you in not only meeting the requirements to be eligible to apply to your intended program, but also to help you make academic planning decisions that ensure your applicant competitiveness and that will meet your academic and career goals. In addition, I am here to support your academic success and well being, by referring you to campus, community and learning resources that may meet your individual needs.
