Our Humble Beginnings
Fluffy Acres Petting Zoo was founded in 2019 by Jazmin Ramirez, an animal enthusiast who grew up surrounded by a variety of animals. Jazmin’s childhood was filled with a deep love and curiosity for animals, and she always dreamed of creating a place where people of all ages could learn about and interact with farm animals.
What began as a small, family-run farm with a few goats and sheep quickly blossomed into a beloved local attraction. Fluffy Acres was built with the mission of offering educational experiences while providing a safe and nurturing environment for animals and visitors alike. In the early days, the zoo was mainly open to the local community, offering hands-on experiences with farm animals and a chance for families to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
From One Animal to a Diverse Family
Fluffy Acres started with only a handful of animals: two goats, three sheep, and a few chickens. As word spread and visitors became more eager to experience the farm life, the zoo grew to include a wider variety of animals, such as alpacas, mini pigs, bunnies, and guinea pigs. Each animal at Fluffy Acres has its own unique personality, and our zoo family grew in both size and diversity.
Our commitment to the animals has always been at the forefront of our mission. We take great pride in providing a safe and comfortable environment for all of our animals, ensuring they receive the best care possible. As the zoo grew, so did our educational offerings. We began offering field trips for schools, birthday parties, and seasonal events, which allowed us to share our passion for animals and farming with an even wider audience.
A Growing Community of Animal Lovers
Fluffy Acres isn’t just a petting zoo – it's a community hub where families, schools, and animal lovers of all ages can come together. Over the years, we’ve hosted numerous school field trips, birthday parties, and special events. Our goal has always been to create lasting memories for our visitors while teaching them valuable lessons about animal care, sustainability, and the importance of kindness towards all living creatures.
As the petting zoo expanded, we began offering new activities such as Goat Yoga, Arts & Crafts Workshops, and seasonal celebrations like our Christmas at Fluffy Acres event, where visitors could enjoy holiday-themed activities and meet Santa’s animal helpers. These fun activities help visitors engage with animals in meaningful ways while enjoying the farm atmosphere.
