Her Story

Aaliyah Gayles is a talented and rising basketball player who has gained attention for both her athletic abilities and the challenges she has faced in recent years.

Aaliyah was a highly regarded basketball prospect coming out of high school in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was considered one of the top recruits in her class. She was known for her exceptional speed, scoring ability, and defensive skills. Gayles played for the prestigious Sierra Canyon High School in California, a school that has produced several high-profile athletes. She was also a member of the U.S. Women’s U18 National Team.

Her promising career, however, took a major setback in April 2022 when she was involved in a shooting incident. Aaliyah was shot multiple times while at a party in Las Vegas. The shooting left her with significant injuries, including gunshot wounds to her legs. Despite the traumatic experience, Aaliyah demonstrated remarkable resilience in her recovery.
