Makers Week Wednesday will allow Bruins to showcase their video game skills through a video game creation contest. People will get to submit creations for video games including Minecraft, Animal Crossing, and the Sims - where the student body will get to vote on their favorite creations! (there will also be an other category for creation submissions for video games not mentioned) Students will also have the opportunity to showcase their high scores, character skins, and other gaming achievements by posting them on their Instagram story and tagging @seewhatsbruin. The link to submit your creation is on the home page!
Minecraft!!!:
Minecraft Creations Submission - Angelo Maldonado Grade: 12
The images I shared in the folder are samples of structures and terraforming that I’ve built. In most of my creations not just in Minecraft, I always decide on a rustic and weathered theme. I really like adding tall and narrow rooves to my houses. Darker pallets are my favorite, and in most cases, I always embellish my structures with leaves and contrasting blocks to enhance texture.
Zaiden Byrd grade 10:
"Here we got a McDonalds and on top of the McDonalds, we got a Travvy Patty. I was inspired to build this because of the new Travvy Patty which is quite exquisite. One delicious, juicy burger. McDonalds’ Spicy McNuggets are also pretty fuego, but the Travvy Patty is on top right now."

Minecraft Creation:
"The 5 images I have shared is my current build Château Magique. I’ve been building in the Parisian style for about a year now, and I have changed the looks + the detail in the builds tremendously. I really like building in the style because even since I went to Paris(summer of 2019) I’ve been inspired to build exactly like the Parisian buildings. I started this build a week ago, because in my own survival world I wanted a Chateau to be in the back of my French city that will be built. But also making trees+ terraforming is what makes my building experience better."
Animal Crossing!!:
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Creations - Angelo Maldonado Grade: 12
My entire island has a rustic and village vibe. In more aesthetic-related terms, my island is very cottage-core. I had completely flattened my island and created new cliffs and rivers that were more fantasy-like and whimsical. The photos I shared are of actually two different islands I had worked on. The island with the pumpkin patch is my most recent island after resetting. Since fall is approaching, I created this pumpkin patch using custom design hats designed to look like pumpkins! The other photos are either of my entrance and or areas of my island(s) that I liked most.
The Sims:
Max Blanchard grade 11
My creation is in Sulani, and there are 8 people living in the house. I am currently in Gen 2 of my Bailey Gen and I had an idea of the second gen child to live with the roommate, but also both will have families living under one roof. I’ve never built in Sulani before, and I’m proud of all my work put into the house. While building the house, I went to some of Lilsimsie’s videos on spinning the wheel in Sulani for inspiration.
