There once was a frog princess of a large pond who had a condition that caused her
hind legs not to grow fully when she transformed from a tadpole into a frog. Because her legs
were so small, she could not jump as far as the other frogs, nor could she swim very fast or far.
She could only swim for very small distances at a time because she would get so tired from
swimming so far. Her parents, the king and queen, prayed and begged the god of healing to
cause her legs to grow, but the god of healing said that since she was not sick or injured, there
was nothing that he could do. The princess, then, would have to be carried across the water by
her servants, but this made her uncomfortable and she felt like a burden. She wanted to be
independent and enjoyed her privacy. And despite her challenges swimming in the water, she
enjoyed the feeling of resting on the surface of the pond.
