Jenn Lodi-Smith, Professor of Psychology at Canisius University and scholar-in-residence at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute, directs the Canisius Identity Development Lab. She is a member of the College’s IMPACT Center for Research, Innovation, and Scholarship. She serves her profession as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Association for Research in Personality, is an associate editor for Journal of Personality, and serves on Council for the American Psychological Association as Division 8 (Social/Personality) representative. She is also a member of the NABCI Human Dimensions subcommittee and organizes the Social Science for Birds collaborative. In Spring 2025, she is teaching PSY102: Introductory Psychology, PSY203: Lifespan Developmental Psychology, and PSY365: Psychology of Aging.

Jenn also co-teaches HON241/EVST300: Ecology & Self with Prof. Jon Roth of Earth Spirit Educational Services. Outside of work, Jenn can be most likely be found out in nature with her kiddos birding, volunteering, looking for cool insects, or finding herps. She serves on the board of Birds on the Niagara, the diversity committee of the Friends of Reinstein Woods, and mentors the WNY Young Birder Club.
