*Make sure to press the play button first, and when you are ready to go onto the next slide, press the right facing arrow*
First, you will watch a short video about anxiety. You may be talking about feeling anxious while you are home from school.
Next, you will listen to a reading of the book "Don't Feed the Worry Bug" and then think about the answers to some of the questions about worry and anxiety.
Last, you can practice how to calm down by using one of your favorite coping tools (belly breaths etc.)
Social-Emotional Activity #2: Make a sensory bottle (video below)
Sensory bottles can address a wide range of skills and concepts. If your child is working on social and communication development, your child can request the various items that will go into the bottle and take turns with the various materials. If your child is working on emotional regulation, sensory bottles are wonderful calming down tools. In addition, creating and using sensory bottles are a wonderful way for all students to practice mindfulness!
