Research Specialist
Job Description
The position of the Research Specialist is to conduct research, data collection and analyses, and write reports concerning the feasibility of a school-based health center model for MVRHS.
The Research Specialist reports to the MVRHS Principal on project updates and ongoing progress monitoring.
The Research Specialist will:
Work with school administrators, MVRHS school-based health and wellness staff, parents, students, and community health partners to plan and conduct aspects of the feasibility study in a participator manner;
Work with school and community advisory teams as well as the MVRHS principal to present research and findings in a clear report format to the school committee, superintendent, and/or members of the leadership team as appropriate;
Help to secure funding opportunities for the recommended health center model; and
Make recommendations for a scale up approach for piloting a feasible school-based health center model.
In conducting this work, the Research Specialist is expected to utilize rigorous research and evaluation methods that are specific to school-based health planning. The Research Specialist will also work with professional school-based health organizations to guide the research and evaluation process.
