Here is a special book to share with your child from Miss Kerry!

Greetings families,

I am pleased to share two books I made for the classroom in the fall. Here are some tips for reading with your child:

• Each book has a predictive pattern of "in Highgate/Swanton we have.....". By the 4th page try to encourage your child to ‘read’ that chunk.

• You can use the emojis to encourage your child to guess or fill in what the location supports/provides within our community.

• You can make connections to the people you know in these locations and memories or experiences you and your family have had ( e.g., personally, I miss getting smoked turkey sandwiches from Joe’s 😊).

• You can ask your child if he/she can think of another business in the community, then discuss what goods and or services or associated memories.
