Act 166
What is Act 166?
Act 166 of 2014 provides access to publicly-funded prekindergarten education for Vermont students. If your child will be 3 or 4 years old by September 1st of this year, he/she is eligible for 10 hours a week of publicly-funded preschool at a prequalified partner site for the coming school year. Universal/Publicly Funded PreKindergarten/Act 166
To enroll your child in Universal/Publicly Funded/Act 166 PreKindergarten :
Find a prequalified partner site and enroll with that program. You can search for a prequalified partner site here. Be sure to select "Prequalified PreK Program - Privately Operated" in the "Accreditation or Approved Prequalified Preschool Program" drop down menu to ensure only eligible programs in the search results.
Complete this packet of forms with supporting documents and return to ashley.maskell@mvsdschools.org or drop off at Missisquoi Valley School District, 100 Robin Hood Drive in Swanton.
Both steps must be complete, and all supporting documents (i.e. proof of residence, birth certificate for age-eligibility) prior to the first day of school to receive full funding. If both steps are not complete with all supporting documents by the first day of school, funding will be prorated based on the date both steps are complete.
