MVMS Athletics 2026-27

                                              Fall 2026 Information

8/25 2:00-3:00 SWAY Testing 

    3:00-5:00 Try-outs (soccer, volleyball)

               5:00-7:00 Try-outs (field hockey)

8/26 3:00-5:00 Try-outs (soccer, volleyball)

    5:00-7:00     Try-outs (field hockey)

8/27 2:45-4:15 Try-outs (all teams/if needed)

                Cross country practice #1

8/28 2:45-4:15 Final try-out / 1st team practice

In order to be eligible for try-outs all students must have completed the FINAL FORM requirements.  Final Forms will open 6/22 for MVMS.

1.  Up-to-date physical on file (in Final Forms or with school nurse) 

• Incoming 6th students/new athletes who have a physical dated January 2026 or later will need to provide a copy of that physical and are eligible for all 3 years of MS sports.  Any student who does not will need an updated physical to participate.

2.  Up-to-date SWAY test (can be done @ 2:00 on 8/25 a cell phone will be needed)

• Sway test is a baseline concussion test that must be done every two years. Incoming 6th graders and new athletes will need this to participate in their specific sport.

3.  Satisfy 4th quarter grade requirements for next year 7th and 8th grade. 

• Students with two or more “Developing” grades in their overall course averages are not eligible to participate in MVMS athletics.  Eligibility is based on the previous quarter’s grades. 

4.  All documents in Final Forms are signed by both the guardian and athlete.

• This requires students to sign in to their email on a home device to sign their forms. Students can access their school email account by logging into their Google account using their school login and password.

Academic Athletic Eligibility for 2026 School Year 

Fall 2026 Sports Eligibility - Please be advised that academic eligibility for returning 7th and 8th graders (current 6th and 7th grade students) for the Fall 2026 sports season will be determined by their Quarter 4 grades from this current school year.
