In this course you will learn how to use Screencastify in your classroom. You will learn both the steps in creating and editing and also learn many ideas about how to effectively use this tool in your classroom for creation, instruction, communication and more.
Complete the course and create and share your own screencast on the shared Flipgrid to earn 3 Clock Hours. (MVSD Certificated Staff Only) Clock hours will be recorded after you have completed the course and evaluation. But they will not be posted until the course is closed in December.
2. Complete the online course "Master the Screencast" (60 min) provided by Screencastify to learn the basics of using Screencastify in the class. ( It is recommended to watch the "Genius!" (45min) and "Master the Screencast Jr." (10 min) courses as well.
3. Create a screencast sharing a teaching strategy or online resource with other teachers. (You are an awesome teacher and you DO have something to share!) Export your video to your computer as an MP4. (The downward arrow in the top menu. )
4. Click on the green + to upload your video on our FlipGrid. You will be asked to log in with your Google Account. (To get to the link to upload your MP4. Hover over the three buttons at the bottom and choose the upload button that looks like a picture of a mountain. Note: For this course, do not record your video in Flipgrid, upload your video that you created using Screencastify.

5. Fill out the Course Completion Form to confirm that you have completed the activities.
6. Complete the course evaluation. You will be emailed when the evaluation is ready. The course will close June 14, 2022. Clock hours will be posted at that time.
