Cadet Captain Shawn Scoggin
Remarks regarding the PHS MCJROTC Program
I am Cadet Captain Shawn Scoggin. I play baseball both at school and outside of school and I am on the marksmanship team. I decided to join JROTC because my older sister was in it and I seen how much it improved her person overall and it inspired me to try to do the same to myself. Also because I come from a military family. The program has drastically improved my leadership skills as well as confidence so far and continues to do so.

I am Cadet First Lieutenant Makayla Sahno. I run cross country and track, and I am also part of the Ambassador Club as well as the Art Club here at Pacific High School. In my free time, I enjoy running and lifting. I joined the program because I plan on joining the Marine Corps after graduation, JROTC is a stepping stone to help me prepare. PT is one of my favorite activities we do. As an active person, I enjoy the challenging workouts we do.

Remarks regarding the PHS MCJROTC Program
I enjoy weightlifting and skating. I’m a wrestler and a thrower on the track and field team. I joined JROTC because of encouragement from my friends, and I wanted a challenge. My favorite thing about the program is getting to be on the Armed Exhibition Drill Team
Cadet Staff Sergeant Emma Hicks
Remarks regarding the PHS MCJROTC Program
Howdy, I’m Cadet Staff Sergeant Hicks. I enjoy drawing or creating 3d art in my spare time, i’m also in art club. I joined the program because my brother told me I couldn’t do it, so I took that as a challenge. JROTC has taught me how to overcome those challenges and learn from them to help others. My favorite thing about being in the program is getting the opportunity to travel.
