Jen Colton-Fowler is entering her 20th year as a high school choir director in Texas, bringing two decades of passion, artistry, and expertise to the podium. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Master’s Degree in Music History and Literature from the University of Arkansas.
Now beginning her second year at MVHS, Ms. Colton-Fowler comes with a wealth of experience, having spent 11 years in Brownsville, TX and 6 years at Texas High School in Texarkana, TX. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to helping students excel in the TMEA All-State process, UIL Solo & Ensemble, UIL Concert & Sight-Reading, and a variety of other musical opportunities each school year.
A lifelong musician, Ms. Colton-Fowler has shared her talents across Texas as a conductor, singer, soloist, and accompanist. Her mission is simple but powerful: to inspire her students to grow as musicians and individuals, equipping them with the skills, discipline, and confidence to succeed both on and off the stage.
