Alien Invasion

This project challenged students to work creatively and collaboratively to solve the problem below.

Problem #1: Longshot Solution

A group of “Longshots” believe a disastrous event that threatens the world is about to occur and must stop it. Because no one takes them seriously, it is up to the Longshots to solve the problem. To succeed they must send materials from all corners of the world using vehicles that overcome obstacles and travel simultaneously into and out of a Reaction Area. As time counts down the Longshots will use the components, including baking soda, to create a reaction that produces a very special effect and saves the day!

Script Writing

The scene takes place at a military base where UFO's come to attack. Some of the military do not believe in the attack until later in the plot. Their is a reaction that does away with the UFO martians.

Spaceship

This is the spaceship that the aliens arrive in.

Tank

This is the tank that goes over the bridge and around the mountain.

Kameron's Reflection:

My contribution to the team was to work with Bodie and Brady to build the vehicles. We worked together to build and paint the spaceship, tank and bridge. I really enjoyed helping paint the spaceship and tank. I learned that if something gets hard to not give up. It would have been great to be able to finish the project and perform the play.
