My Teaching Philosophy: Learning should be joyful as well as meaningful. I believe the classroom is a living community and that everyone, from the staff to the students to the parents, must contribute in order to maintain a positive atmosphere.  All students are individuals, and everyone learns in their own unique way. I use multiple methods of teaching (linguistic, visual, auditory, kinesthetic) to reach students so that everyone has a chance to thrive. I connect lessons to the real world and the get students outside whenever possible. Above all, I strive to provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks.
