Since time is valuable, particularly for the very busy gov school student, humanities is the best value for your time! Upon the completion of HUM 201/ENG 111, sophomores not only have the opportunity to earn dual enrollment credit for humanities and English, they will also meet the requirement for English 10. Juniors have the same opportunity in HUM 216/HUM 112 as they meet the requirements for English 11. All of these dual enrollment credits count towards the completion of the Associates Degree at Laurel Ridge Community College.
Believe it or not, that's not all we will be covering! After two years in humanities, students also fulfill the requirements for Research II. By the end of junior year, MVGS students have developed research skills in both science and humanities, so they are well-prepared for even the most challenging college experience.
