Josie Muñiz Padilla, M.S., CCC-SLP
Josie is the owner and founder of Mustard Seed Therapy, PLLC.
She is a bilingual therapist who was born and raised in Del Rio, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas at Austin and her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.
With five years experience in speech pathology, and an additional three years experience as a certified special education teacher, Josie has grown a passion for helping individuals with disabilities enhance their communication skills. Josie has worked with individuals of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Josie is licensed to practice speech language pathology in the state of Texas and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She has experience treating individuals of various ages and disabilities, such as speech/language delays and disorders, swallowing and feeding disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, other genetic disorders, Parkinson's Disease, Dementia, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and stroke survivors.
Although she loves and enjoys working with a wide range of disabilities, Josie has grown a passion for providing services to children on the Autism Spectrum. Josie is sensory-certified and incorporates sensory activities/strategies into her therapy sessions to help her clients regulate and maintain focus/attention.
